BUENA PARK — November 3, 2026. Buena Park’s Youth in Action Microgrant Program offers awards of up to $999 for youth-led projects, with an overall 2026 funding pool of $5,000.

Who can apply

Applicants must be between 13 and 18, live in Buena Park or attend a school in the city, and have an adult sponsor. Eligible one-time projects include park cleanups, little free libraries, murals, planters and benches.

How money is distributed

The city says half the grant is paid after approval and half after a project is completed and a final report submitted. Projects must be completed within 120 days of approval.

Applications may close when money runs out

The first review took place in April 2026, and the city says later applications may be accepted only as long as funding remains. Families should verify funds and requirements before buying supplies or promising a project launch.
